Majestic

1922 - 1940

White Star line

Originally launched as the Bismarck by Hamburg-Amerika in 1914, she was still in drydock being outfitted when WWI broke out. At war's end, she was given to White Star to replace the sunken Brittanic. Finally completed in 1922, she carried passengers for the first time under her new name, Majestic. Until the launch of Normandie in 1935, she was the largest ship in the world. The next year she was sold to the admiralty and went into service as a cadet training ship. She caught fire and sank in 1939 and went to the breakyards the next year.
